Overview:
Each year, the West Linn Lions Club (WLLC) provides scholarships to West Linn graduating seniors. Scholarships are available to students majoring in various disciplines and with various school destinations. Use the buttons at the right to learn more about the types of scholarships available. Process: Selections for scholarships begins early in each year with students requested to submit easy-to-complete applications. Applications are then allocated to the proper scholarship type and pared to a manageable level for interviews. The selected applicants are interviewed by a panel of judges who make their selection for each type of scholarship offered. How to Apply: If you have a Naviance Student/parent account, go online and search for West Linn Lions or Egland Family scholarship. If you don't have an account or if you have problems finding information on Naviance, email the West Linn High School (WLHS) College and Career Coordinator, Kami Vermillion at VermillK@wlwv.k12.or.us. If you still have problems please call our Scholarships Committee Chairman (Ron Adams) at 503-636-8444 or contact the Club below. Winners: We contact each selected applicant of each scholarship. Winners of each scholarship type are announced at the WLHS Evening of Excellence and individually by phone. WLHS delivers the scholarships directly to the winners college or university to aid in their tuition. |
